We had the pleasure of spending a gorgeous afternoon with Johnna and Jimmy at Hermann Park. They’ve known each other since their teens, and I think they balance each other out so well. We all had a great time walking around the park. Here are some of my favorite images from their session.

This is probably my favorite shot of the day.

Serendipity photography asked me to tag along with them and shoot Alice and Lance’s engagement session, since I’ll be shooting their wedding as well. I’m always more than happy to shoot an engagement session with the couple before the wedding. It gives me a chance to meet the couple and get to know them before their big date. Alice and Lance are both from Taiwan, and they met, of all places, at Lubbock, TX. I sure can relate to them, since I also grew up in west Texas. It seems like Alice and Lance were meant to meet each other. They grew up in the same small city in Taiwan, they both went to single-sex schools in Taiwan, and their schools were brother/sister schools, and some how, they both ended up at Texas Tech in Lubbock and found each other.
Here are some images from their engagement session:

They wanted a few pictures of them in their high school uniforms. Lance is making a move at the innocent Alice.
Lance really looks like a Taiwanese gangster, haha
Ending the night with a sweet looking couple.

I joined Serendipity Photography for Doan & Andy’s wedding reception. I was told that Andy was an architect, and made all the decorations themselves. Hands down, this one of the more creative weddings I’ve been to. I had a blast shooting their wedding.

More on this later

They went and bought some bubble tea with their scooter before their grand entrance…

Following tradition, Andy and Doan greeted each table, and the guests greet them with games/pranks

Not sure what’s going on, but even the videographer is surprised

Their friends put on a hilarious dance for everyone

The last day of Keisha & Neil’s wedding is very westernized. Today’s event is the reception and dinner, followed by lots of dancing. We stopped off at an Indian temple first to grab a few shots of Keisha and Neil before heading back to the reception hall.
Feels like we’re in India

I’ve always known that Indian weddings are a big affair, but when Serendipity-Photography asked me to join them on Keisha and Neil’s 3 day event, I was pretty surprised that 3 day weddings even exist. I started my shooting on day 2 of their grand wedding, which was filled with a horse, men carrying in the bride, and a beautiful yet elaborate ceremony. Here are some pictures:
A brief ceremony at Neil’s house

Offering to the god

Neil changes from the car to the horse carriage, then the entire groom’s side of family and friends parade for a good half an hour

Neil’s (very large group of) family and friends dancing in front of the horse carriage

Neil hopped out and joined the party

Lots of colors that day

Come back tomorrow to see Neil and Keisha’s wedding reception.
